Ramón Peralta communicates power relationships through Zen photography and collage touching upon themes like colonialism, childhood trauma disorders, the femme fatale and sexual desire.
Living outside Mexico gave Ramón another perspective about contemporary relationships: from Portuguese woman’s Odes to the representation of colonial slaves. Although he finds inspiration in great masters as Tarkovsky, Altamina and Beuys, his style is heavily influenced by the Mexican people.
Along with producing plastic work, Ramón Peralta has already published three poetry books and a novel.
“Inspiration is constant, everything can be part of a work. It is always present if we open our eyes. Sometimes it is so varied that I have to leave out some projects, like pottery" .
